Ramayana’s New Posters Are Here: Ram, Sita, Lakshman and a Golden Ravana
With Diwali approaching, the countdown to Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana has officially picked up speed. The makers followed a star-studded Mumbai promotional event with two fresh posters, one showing Ranbir Kapoor’s Ram with Sai Pallavi’s Sita and Ravie Dubey’s Lakshman, the other giving Yash’s Ravana a full royal introduction. Add a surprise appearance from YouTube megastar MrBeast, and this became one of the more talked-about promotional weekends of the season.
The Event That Kicked Off the Campaign
The gathering took place in Mumbai on Saturday and marked the start of promotions for Ramayana: Part One. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey and producer Namit Malhotra were all present. The surprise guest was MrBeast, the American creator with one of the largest audiences on the internet. To be clear, he attended as a guest of the promotion; there is no report of him appearing in the film itself.
The most shared moment came when Ranbir coached the YouTuber into saying “Jai Shri Ram,” a small, warm exchange that quickly circulated online. Malhotra also reportedly walked MrBeast through the epic’s famous bow challenge, comparing it with a similar test from The Odyssey, a neat way of explaining the story to a global audience unfamiliar with it.
Poster One: Together in Exile
The first poster brings Ram, Sita and Lakshman into one frame during their forest exile. All three wear simple, traditional clothing, a deliberate contrast to the grandeur associated with epic cinema. The caption reads “Together Always, in Dharma,” pointing at the bond between the three characters rather than at spectacle.

Ranbir’s Ram looks calm and dignified, Sai Pallavi’s Sita carries a quiet strength, and Ravie Dubey’s Lakshman stands as the loyal protector. It is a restrained image, and that restraint is the point.
Poster Two: Yash as the Ruler of Lanka
The second poster goes in the opposite direction. Yash appears as Ravana in an elaborate golden crown set with gemstones, layered pearl necklaces and gold bracelets, set against the golden kingdom of Lanka. His expression is intense and the styling is unapologetically opulent.
Pairing the two posters tells a story on its own: simplicity and duty on one side, wealth and power on the other. Some fans felt the Ravana image gave the clearest sense yet of the film’s scale.
What Ranbir Said About Playing Ram
At the event, Ranbir spoke about what Ram represents, describing him as Maryada Purushottam, the ideal man, and noting that he never set out to be a hero. He pointed to Ram’s decision to give up the comforts of princely life to honour his father’s promise. He also voiced hope that the film would introduce Indian culture and history to viewers around the world.
Why the MrBeast Moment Matters
Bringing MrBeast in is a clear signal about the film’s ambitions. The makers plan a worldwide IMAX release, and the film is being produced by Prime Focus Studios with DNEG, the eight-time Oscar-winning visual effects house, and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. Reaching audiences beyond the Indian theatrical market is part of the plan, and a creator with MrBeast’s reach is one way to start that conversation.
It also shows how Indian film marketing is changing. A viral, lighthearted exchange in front of cameras can travel further than a conventional press meet.
Fan Reaction and What Comes Next
Online reaction has been largely positive, with fans calling the visuals impressive. A few social media users said the posters should have arrived sooner, which mostly reflects how eager audiences are for more.
The full cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman. The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, with Part 1 arriving at Diwali 2026 and Part 2 at Diwali 2027. Yash’s Ravana was previewed in the trailer released a couple of months ago, so expect the promotional pace to keep rising as the release date gets closer.
