Actor Nitesh Pandey, Anupamaa Actor, Dies at Age 51
The television industry has suffered a great loss with the passing of Nitesh Pandey, who was known for playing the role of Dheeraj Kapoor in Rupali Ganguly’s hit show Anupamaa.
Just days after the deaths of Aditya Singh Rajput and Vaibhavi Upadhyay, the 51-year-old actor died of a cardiac arrest in Igatpuri, Mumbai.
Nitesh began his career in theatre in 1990 and went on to act in films such as Om Shanti Om and Badhaai Do. He also ran his own production house, Dream Castle Productions, and was seen in popular serials like Manzilein Apani Apani, Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani, Saaya, Justajoo and Durgesh Nandini. His performance in Khosla Ka Ghosla was widely praised.
Nitesh hailed from Almora Kumaon in Uttrakhand and was married to actress Arpita Pandey, whom he met on the TV show Justajoo; they married in 2003. He was previously married to actress Ashwini Kalsekar. After 25 years in the Indian television industry, his passing is a great loss.
Celebrities like Manoj Bajpayee, Gaurav Khanna, Nakuul Mehta, Rupali Ganguly, Gulshan Devaiah, and others have expressed sadness over the passing of Nitesh Pandey.
