Arijit Singh Scolds Fan for Pursuing his Car in Search of a Selfie
Popular Bollywood singer Arijit Singh recently lost his cool when an overzealous fan pursued his car while constantly honking, all for the sake of taking a selfie with the famous artist. The entire incident was captured on video and has since gone viral online, sparking a debate on celebrity privacy and reasonable fan behavior.
Agitated Singer Questions Fan’s Maturity
In the widely circulated video, Arijit is seen stepping out of his car to confront the 23-year-old fan who had tailed his vehicle while honking repeatedly. A visibly upset Arijit questioned the young man’s maturity and asked if he was aware of how his reckless behavior was affecting others on the road.
“You’re an adult, aren’t you? Do you have any idea how many times you’ve honked? Don’t you know such acts end up troubling others?” the singer asked. He further expressed frustration that the fan had put so many people at unease simply to click a picture with him.

Arijit Offers Selfie, With a Lesson
Though vexed, Arijit did not leave without teaching the overzealous fan a lesson. He offered to take a selfie, on the condition that they would block the road to do so, inconveniencing many others in the process.
“Fine, let’s take a picture. We’ll stop everyone here so you can click a selfie with me. I won’t let you leave until we do it,” Arijit said sarcastically. He was clearly trying to make the point that one should not pursue celebrities at the cost of others’ convenience.

Video Goes Viral, Sparks Debate on Fan Behavior
The video of the tense exchange went viral rapidly after being posted online earlier this week. It has reignited debate on issues like celebrity privacy, reasonable fan conduct, and the dark side of fame.
Many social media users sided with Arijit and condemned the fan’s invasive behavior. However, some argued that celebrities must gracefully oblige benign requests from supporters who help their success.
Arijit’s Next Single Set for Release
On the work front, Arijit Singh is all set to release his new single “Leke Prabhu Ka Naam” today, October 23. The song is part of the upcoming Bollywood film Tiger 3 headlined by Salman Khan.
Incidentally, this marks the end of Arijit’s nine-year feud with Salman over an issue at an awards show. The singer had apologized to Salman last year, paving the way for this collaboration.
The release of “Leke Prabhu Ka Naam” comes on the heels of Arijit’s well-received performances at the musical ceremony of the 2023 Cricket World Cup in Ahmedabad. The singer enthralled crowds with his hit songs at the spectacle.
