Farzi Review: Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi’s Drama is Packed with Fiery Dialogues, Fresh Plot, and Brilliant Performances

The gifted director duo of Raj and DK has founded their own Spy Universe. Farzi reflects the emergence of a nasty man with a fire of rage in his eyes. The series is thoroughly explored and executed. Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi’s drama is packed with fiery dialogues, a fresh plot, and brilliant performances by all the star cast. Audiences enjoyed the Vijay’s voice, his struggle with the language, and its humourous style.

Storyline

Farzi is about an artist (Shahid Kapoor) who finds inspiration in the most expensive object in the world — money. However, his artwork is being followed by many individuals, along with a cop named Michael Vedanayagam (Vijay Sethupathi). Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna, Amol Palekar, and Bhuvan Arora are among the characters in their cat-and-mouse play.

Farzi Review

The Amazon Prime Video original series is named Farzi; however, the theme is purely distinct. The Family Man’s creators once again come back with captivate plot, strong performances, amusing one-liners, and riveting sequences. The screenplay and dialogues provide excellent support for the writing.

Farzi Star Cast and Performances

Shahid Kapoor outstandingly portrayed the conflicted character. Vijay Sethupathi’s performance in the series is seemless. He makes his OTT debut as well as his Hindi cinema debut with the series. Regina Cassandra, his on-screen wife, also felt lost in the series, serving no higher intent in the ultimate plot. Kay Kay Menon is yet another actor to look out for in Farzi. The actor is a genius of expression and sarcasm. Raashii Khanna portrays an RBI agent who delivers a respectable performance. Amol Palekar, as Sunny’s Nanu, appears natural and flawless.

Farzi‘s Selling Point

Farzi’s cinematography is brilliant, as are the sets and costumes, which show the characters proceeding subtly. The fresh plot and exciting star cast delivered the desired output for the directors. Dialogues do not appear to be written for reading but rather a conversation, and this is what most entices the viewers. Sachin- Jigar also delivers punchy tunes after every episode.

Farzi’s Low Point

There are some instances that become boring and predictable, and it falls a little short of expectation of Family Man series fan’s. The series’ charm would have been greater if the entire conflict had been wrapped as a six-episode series instead of an eight-episode series.
