Imanvi: From Social Media Sensation to Bollywood Debutante
Imanvi, whose real name is Iman Esmail, is a dancer, actor, and content creator who is set to make her silver screen debut alongside Prabhas in his upcoming historical film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. She has already built an impressive following on social media, with over 836,000 Instagram followers and 1.8 million YouTube subscribers.
Early Life and Career
Imanvi was born on October 20, 1995, in Delhi, India. She grew up in Los Angeles after her family relocated there when she was young. Imanvi is not formally trained in dancing but learned by watching Bollywood actresses like Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, and Vyjayanthimala.
In 2020, her choreography for the song “Ramta Jogi” from the film Taal went viral. A video of her dancing to “Tum Tum” from the movie Enemy in 2023 also became a hit on Instagram, leading to her acting debut. Imanvi has collaborated with several famous content creators over the years for her videos.

Acting Debut
Imanvi’s upcoming film with Prabhas is a historical drama set in the 1940s that tells the story of a warrior who fights to bring justice to his Motherland. The film, which may be titled “Fauji”, was officially launched with a puja ceremony in Hyderabad on August 17, 2024.
Initially, there were speculations that Mrunal Thakur would play the female lead, but she recently clarified that she is not involved in the project. This paved the way for Imanvi to take center stage alongside veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada in this highly anticipated film.
The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, will commence shooting on August 24 in Hyderabad. Prabhas will play the role of a soldier in the British Army, while Imanvi will portray his love interest. The movie is expected to release by the end of 2025.
