Jogira Sara Ra Ra Review: Nawazuddin and Neha Starrer Romcom is a Total Timepass
Jogira Sara Ra Ra is just another entry in the long list of romcoms based in small-town North India. The film isn’t a glamorous production, but it has a soothing dose of earthiness, with a fine plot and smooth performances by the ensemble. However, Nawazuddin and Neha starrer romcom is a total time pass and offers nothing new that you haven’t seen before. Let’s dive into a detailed review:
Storyline
The film, set in Lucknow, UP, features Jogi (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) as a wedding planner who has vowed never to get married. Why? He feels the six ladies already living in his house are enough and does not want to add another. So when Dimple (Neha Sharma) asks her to “break” her marriage to Lallu (Mahaakshay Chakraborty), he tries everything, from forcing the groom’s family to demand dowry to breaking the groom’s leg, but all of his backfires. Lastly, he faked Dimple’s abduction with the support of his buddy Manu (Rohit Chaudhary), causing the wedding to be canceled. But Jogi becomes trapped in his web of lies. And multiple twists and turns follow the climax.
Jogira Sara Ra Ra Review: Jogira Sara Ra Ra is a delightful family film, but don’t put too much faith in it because there’s nothing fresh you haven’t seen before on the big screen. The music and camera work are both mediocre. When you become sick of Jogi and Dimple’s average chemistry, the supporting cast offer amusing relief.
Jogira Sara Ra Ra Star cast and Performances
Nawazuddin Siddiqui puts in a great effort to develop his character while keeping the character genuine and convincing. Neha Sharma appears beautiful and plays her part convincingly. Mahaaskhay, aka Mimoh, emerges as an adored character at the film’s climax and delivers an excellent performance. Sanjay Mishra is outstanding; as always, he adds charm to the limited dialogue he gets in the movie. Rohit Chaudhary’s portrayal was another remarkable performance. On the other hand, Zarina Wahab had only a shadowy presence in the background.
Jogira Sara Ra Ra’s Selling Point
Kushan Nandy’s direction offers the film its best moment’s thanks to great performances and wise writing. In this crazy comedy, writer Ghalib Asad Bhopali blends laughter and chaos. Jogira Sara Ra Ra is a narrative that makes you laugh and gets the essential spirit of Desi romantic comedy, allowing you to sympathize with relatable characters.
Jogira Sara Ra Ra’s Weak Point
The poor and puzzling screenplay fails to provide an enjoyable watching experience. Countless twists and turns are pushed in, leaving no time for viewers to enjoy the experience. Jogira Sara Ra Ra comes out to be just another dreary rom-com with little creativity and stale comedy that makes you want to nap instead.
