This time, the whole scene is about an offensive tweet she posted that claimed that the citizens are now being governed by “uneducated political leaders”.

Comment Landed Kajol in Pool of Criticism

Popular actress who has worked in films like Baazigar, my name Is Khan, Kuch Kuch Hota hai, and many other movies which ruled the box office is currently busy promoting her new series titled, “The Trial – Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhokha”.

The 48-year-old actress was being interviewed by the leading media company, The Quint, during the promotion of her upcoming series, The Trial.

She was asked a question that stated, despite the progress of the nation there are still some myths and ideas that are holding the women back.

She responded to this question by saying that, “Change, especially in a country like India, is slow. It is very, very slow because we are steeped in our traditions and thought processes and, of course, it has to do with education. You have political leaders who do not have an educational system background.”

Further adding to it she said that, “I’m sorry but I’m going to go out and say that. I’m being ruled by leaders, so many of them, who do not have that viewpoint, which I think education does give you, at least the chance to look out for a different viewpoint.” You can see the video here:

After this interview went live, this sparked an outrage in the netizens and soon after a while #kajol was trending on social media handles which pointed out Kajol’s demeaning remarks on the political leaders.

Kajol’s Tweet Soon After She Noticed the Widespread of Hatred Coming her Way

Soon after #kajol started trending on twitter and other social media platforms, the actress sensed the hatred coming down to her. So, she issued a tweet clarifying that she did not mean to demean any political leader and her comment did not mean that she was actually talking about their education.

Her tweet read, “I was merely making a point about education and its importance. My intention was not to demean any political leaders, we have some great leaders who are guiding the country on the right path.”

Netizens Reaction Over the Tweet and Are they Convinced?

Soon after reading Kajol’s “so-called” apology tweet, the netizens started calling her out even more that she needs to see it for herself first rather than going on the stage and talking mean things about the leaders of the nation.

One of the tweet comments read that, “@itsKajolD A school dropout is giving lecture on education and uneducated politicians. First at last complete your school then do blah blah #Kajol.”

The user referred to Kajol dropping out from school to focus on her acting career.

Another comment read, “Before pointing fingers at others you should ask your husband ‘Vimal’ Devgan to stop promoting gutkha. In India tobacco accounts for nearly 1.35 million deaths every year and your husband is shamelessly promoting it.”

There were many more comments that actively criticised and trolled Kajol for her comment, you can refer to the tweet link and read more comments like the ones that we pointed out above.
