Kangana Ranaut Meets Israel Ambassador Amid Conflict with Hamas, Voices Support
Bollywood actress and filmmaker Kangana Ranaut met with Israel’s Ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, at the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi on Wednesday, extending her support to Israel amid the ongoing conflict with Hamas.
Kangana Expresses Solidarity with Israel
In an Instagram post after the meeting, Kangana called Hamas “today’s Ravan” and said she hopes Israel will be victorious in the “war against terrorism.” She wrote that the targeting of women and children by Hamas is “heart-wrenching.”
Kangana’s meeting and statements of support come at a time when Israel is engaged in an armed conflict with Hamas, the Palestinian militant group that controls Gaza. The latest round of violence began on May 10 and has left hundreds dead, mostly Palestinians in Gaza.

Discussed Upcoming Film Tejas
Besides the conflict, Kangana’s post revealed she also discussed her upcoming film Tejas with Ambassador Gilon. Tejas is about an Indian Air Force pilot played by Kangana fighting terrorism.
The actress said she dedicated months of training to master the combat techniques used by the Indian armed forces for the role. Directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Tejas also stars Anshul Chauhan, Varun Mitra, and others. It is set for an October 27 theatrical release.
Support Lauded As “Brave”
Israel’s Deputy Head of Mission in India, Ohad Nakash Kaynar, also shared a photo with Kangana from the meeting. In his tweet, he thanked and lauded the actress for her “brave” support of Israel.
Kaynar said Kangana was brave for “saying the truth as clearly as you do.” He added that Israel and India share the same values and courage.
Not Kangana’s First Comment On The Conflict
This is not the first time Kangana has weighed in on the Israel-Hamas conflict. Earlier in May, she put up an Instagram story calling out “woke liberals” and “intellectuals” for their “silence” on Hamas rocket attacks on Israel.
Kangana claimed that Israel has the right to defend itself against the “ruthless” Hamas organization. She accused those critical of Israel’s actions of being “anti-Semitic.”

Kangana Ranaut Becomes First Woman to Perform Ravan Dahan
Kangana Ranaut made history on Tuesday when she became the first woman to perform the Ravan Dahan ritual at the famous Lav Kush Ramleela in New Delhi. Dressed in traditional attire, the Bollywood actress shot a flaming arrow at the towering effigy of the demon king Ravana, setting it ablaze in front of thousands of spectators.
The Ravan Dahan is the dramatic climax of the annual Ramleela celebrations held at the Red Fort for the past 50 years. But never before had a woman been given the honor of setting fire to Ravana’s effigy, said Arjun Singh, president of the Lav Kush Ramleela Committee.
Kangana described feeling “immensely blessed” to take on the iconic role on the occasion of Dussehra. Videos of the moment show the massive effigy igniting in a burst of fire amidst loud cheers from the crowd. For the actress and the event organizers, it was a landmark celebration of the triumph of good over evil.
