Kartik Aaryan confirms Vidya Balan’s ‘Og Manjulika’ returns in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’
Kartik Aaryan took to social media on Monday to confirm some big news about the upcoming horror-comedy film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. The actor revealed that Vidya Balan will be reprising her iconic role of Manjulika from the first ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ in the latest installment.

In an Instagram post, Kartik shared a video that splices together clips of him dancing to ‘Mere Dholna’ from ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ along with Vidya Balan’s version of the song from the 2007 prequel. “And its happening Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa,” Kartik captioned the post, expressing his excitement to welcome Vidya Balan back to the franchise.
Vidya’s eccentric Manjulika with her famous zig-zag hair parting became a hugely popular character after the first film. Her scenes dancing to ‘Mere Dholna’ and scaring the wits out of audiences with her shrill voice made Manjulika an iconic horror-comedy creation.
Fans are thrilled to see her reprise this landmark role opposite Kartik Aaryan, who takes on the lead character previously played by Akshay Kumar. The pairing of Kartik and Vidya itself promises to be a fresh and exciting on-screen jodi.
Kartik further revealed that ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is slated for a Diwali 2024 release. With director Anees Bazmee and producer Bhushan Kumar also returning, the movie seems set to become a festive blockbuster.
The actor promised fans in his post that “This Diwali is going to be crackling,” indicating that ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ will provide an electrifying mix of horror and comedy. Vidya Balan’s return as the OG Manjulika is undoubtedly going to be a huge nostalgia-filled highlight.
