Kartik Aaryan Reacts To Ex Sara Ali Khan Discussing Their Relationship Publicly

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has voiced his disapproval over his ex-girlfriend Sara Ali Khan discussing details of their past relationship on Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show, Koffee With Karan.

Speaking to Film Companion in a recent interview, Kartik emphasized the need to respect the privacy of relationships, especially intimate bonds between two people. “I feel that if a relationship is between two people, others should refrain from commenting on it publicly,” said Kartik.

He added that having been in a relationship himself in the past, one doesn’t expect it to end when they are together. “You don’t imagine that it will come to an end. I think you should respect that time and the moments you share,” stated Kartik.

Sara Discussed Breakup on Koffee With Karan

This comes on the heels of Sara Ali Khan’s recent appearance with Ananya Panday on the popular celebrity talk show hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar. When Johar asked Sara about her equation with Kartik post their breakup, Sara responded saying that while staying friends with an ex is not always easy, one has to “rise above” the failed relationship.

Kartik and Sara were rumored to be dating around the time they were shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s film Love Aaj Kal 2. While they never publicly acknowledged their relationship, their frequent outings and social media posts pointed towards their romantic involvement.

They apparently parted ways while filming the movie, which eventually tanked at the box office. Kartik has since been tight-lipped regarding the split, maintaining that he likes to keep his personal life away from the limelight.

Kartik Expects Same Respect From Partner

The actor further said he expected the same dignity and restraint from his former partner as well. “Just as I have never spoken about my relationships, I expect my partner to do the same. When you speak about a relationship, you are not just thinking about one person but two,” Kartik remarked.

Kartik-Karan Fallout In The Past

Meanwhile, Johar himself has had a dramatic fallout with Kartik in the past, which shocked the industry. Kartik was originally meant to star in Johar’s production Dostana 2, but was abruptly dropped from the project reportedly over remuneration issues.

It was speculated that the rising star had demanded a fee hike after delivering a series of hits, which did not sit well with the filmmaker. While both parties have stayed silent on the real reason behind the professional split, Kartik’s latest comments indicate that there is no love lost between him and Johar.

Kartik Remains Focused On Upcoming Projects

Nonetheless, Kartik was recently photographed chatting warmly with Sara at the star-studded Diwali party hosted by famous designer Manish Malhotra. Their cordial behavior has led some fans to wonder if the former couple is considering reconciliation.

While refusing to be drawn into controversies around his personal life, Kartik has clearly signaled his intention to protect his privacy going forward. Fans will be eager to see if Sara respects his wishes or continues candidly discussing their bygone relationship publicly.
