Met Gala 2025
The 2025 Met Gala took place on May 5 at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, celebrating the Costume Institute’s exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which focuses on 300 years of Black fashion and dandyism. The theme “Tailored for You” emphasized menswear and Black cultural style, marking the first time since 2003 the event focused exclusively on menswear.
Co-hosts included Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, Lewis Hamilton, and Vogue’s Anna Wintour, with honorary chair LeBron James. Bollywood made a notable impact with Shah Rukh Khan debuting in a Sabyasachi creation, Kiara Advani debuting possibly in Gaurav Gupta, Diljit Dosanjh making his debut, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas appearing for the fifth time in a custom Balmain outfit.
The event featured a star-studded guest list from fashion, music, film, and sports, showcasing extravagant and tailored looks inspired by Black dandyism and style history.
