Mrunal Thakur has a Fangirl Moment With Daniel Radcliffe in New York
Indian actress Mrunal Thakur recently had a fangirl moment when she met “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe in New York City. Thakur, who was in the city promoting her latest Telugu film “Hi Nanna,” took to Instagram to share her excitement about the encounter.

In a video Thakur posted, Radcliffe can be seen taking selfies with fans while Thakur and her sister Lochan yell from behind the barrier, “Daniel, we love you!” Radcliffe acknowledges them, replying “Thank you!” Thakur also managed to snap a selfie with the actor, writing on Instagram “And this happened!” with a Harry Potter sticker. In the photo, a masked Radcliffe stands alongside a beaming Thakur and Lochan.
Fans were quick to react to Thakur’s posts, with one commenting “She’s just living all of our childhood dreams!” Indeed, the chance to meet one of the world’s most beloved fantasy icons had Thakur indulging her inner Potterhead.

Promoting Telugu Cinema
While Thakur’s run-in with Radcliffe may have been the highlight of her U.S. visit, the main purpose was to promote “Hi Nanna,” her second Telugu project after the acclaimed 2022 film “Sita Ramam.” Directed by Tharun Bhaskar Dhaassyam, “Hi Nanna” sees Thakur star alongside Nani, Angad Bedi, and Jayaram.
The film has won praise from critics and audiences alike, particularly for Thakur’s moving performance. Telugu superstar Allu Arjun lauded her “haunting sweetness,” while others acclaimed her character as the emotional core of the movie. Coming on the heels of “Sita Ramam,” Thakur is fast becoming a fan favorite in Telugu cinema.
