Paris Hilton is speaking out against the “unacceptable” comments made about her eight-month-old son Phoenix’s appearance after she recently posted photos with him on Instagram. The reality TV star called out those criticizing the infant’s head size and said her baby is “perfectly healthy.”

The hotel heiress shared a series of pictures on October 20 of herself with Phoenix during their first trip to New York City together. While many followers left positive remarks about the cute snaps, some began scrutinizing the baby’s looks, speculating he may have a medical condition.

Backlash Over Baby’s Head Size

Several users left comments like “Does he have encephalitis? Like what is actually going on I’m not trying to be rude that doesn’t seem normal” and “Beautiful baby has brain inflammation. This can be an autoimmune reaction. Please take your baby to an integrative functional paediatrician.”

Other Instagram users came to Hilton’s defense, calling the remarks about an innocent child “shameful” and urging compassion. One wrote, “Adults making fun of a Baby… wow shame on you.”

Hilton Addresses ‘Hateful’ Remarks

In a response posted to her Instagram Stories, Hilton called the comments targeting her son “unacceptable” and said they hurt her “more deeply than words can describe.”

The new mom acknowledged that criticism comes with fame but said “targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable.” She has tried to “cultivate an environment that is all about love, respect and acceptance” and expects the same in return.

Hilton maintained Phoenix is a “perfectly healthy, adorable and angelic” baby. She said she’s dreamed of motherhood for years and her child is “my world” and the “biggest blessing of my life.”

Advocating for More Kindness

The entrepreneur said it’s hard to understand why anyone would criticize an innocent baby. “I hope that people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy,” she concluded.

Hilton and husband Carter Reum welcomed Phoenix in January via surrogate. The couple tied the knot last November after dating for over a year.

While Hilton continues to share her journey into motherhood publicly, her plea for compassion serves as an important reminder to think before posting hurtful comments online, especially about a child.
