It is with great sadness that we report the untimely passing of beloved actor Rituraj Singh. The 59-year-old TV and film star, known for his roles in popular shows like “Anupamaa,” “Banegi Apni Baat,” and “Diya Aur Baati Hum,” died of cardiac arrest in the early hours of February 20, 2024.
The Tragic Incident
According to close friend and colleague Amit Behl, Rituraj Singh had been hospitalized recently for stomach issues. He was discharged just a few days before his sudden demise. Tragically, Singh suffered a fatal cardiac arrest at his home around 12:30 am on February 20th. The news was confirmed by actor Pallavi Joshi, who also shared the devastating news with Amit Behl.

“I am shocked & heartbroken on hearing the news! Someone posted the news on one of my WhatsApp groups early in the morning and, since, I have just been in shock. I worked closely with Ritu in ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii’. He was one of the few actors who gave me a warm welcome on the show. To say that he was a brilliant actor is an obvious thing, but more than an actor, he was one of the finest human beings that I know. I am really saddened by the news. May his soul rest in peace and may his wife and kids get the strength to deal with this loss.”
