Renowned Malayalam Filmmaker Siddique Ismail Passes Away at 69, Leaving a Legacy of Blockbusters

Siddique Ismail, a well-known filmmaker in the Malayalam film industry, sadly passed away on August 8, 2023, following a cardiac arrest at the age of 69. Throughout his career, Siddique gained fame for directing numerous blockbusters, some of which were even remade in different languages. He was the creative force behind hit films such as ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Hera Pheri’, which were widely popular and praised. Siddique made his directorial debut with ‘Ramjo Rao Speaking’, a film which was later remade in Hindi under the title ‘Hera Pheri’ by Priyadarshan. He also directed Salman Khan in ‘Bodyguard’, a film that was also a remake of his own Malayalam film of the same name. The late director received heartfelt tributes from many celebrities, including Kareena Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan.
