Saanand Verma has gained notoriety for playing the hilarious Anokhelal Saxena in the sitcom “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai.” Recently Saanand Verma, aka Saxsena Ji, opened up his struggle story; he used to walk about 50 kilometers daily for auditions. While it’s not a rags-to-riches tale, his real hardships started when he left a high-paying corporate job to pursue his love for acting. The actor has appeared in over 200 TV commercials.
He also shared his experience working in the entertainment industry, his prevailing show, and his early days of struggle following moving to Mumbai to seek his acting career.

The actor, Saanand, was raised in Delhi but was born in Patna, and he has an impressive story to share. The actor’s upbringing had prepared him for adversity. At 8, his parents—especially his father—started forcing him to sell books. To help his father’s book publishing firm sell books, he was compelled to walk 25 kilometers daily. When he was 12, he worked as a peon, supplier, proofreader, and tuition teacher.

Saanand Verma Left High Paying MNC Job
Saanand admitted spending his first night in Mumbai at an unpleasant-smelling pharmaceutical factory. He also talked about the demanding times he experienced while pursuing his aspirations: “I used to travel about 50 Kilometers by foot each day for auditions. After quitting my job, I invested all my money in the house and sold my car because I couldn’t keep it. I was accustomed to an opulent lifestyle due to my previous good salary from my corporate job, so traveling by bus or train was not something I enjoyed doing.”

Saanand aka Saxsena Ji further added, “I considered acting to be my real love.” I accepted this character because it was different and demanding. It would have been tough for any actor to pull off. In real life, I am also a crazy guy in real life”.

Saanand Verma’s Upcoming Project
Saanand has appeared in the movies like Mardaani, Raid, Pataakha, and Chhichhore. He appeared in several web series, including Sacred Games and Apharan. According to recent reports, the actor will appear in the future projects “Satra Ko Shaadi Hai” and “Ram Singh Charlie.”
Whatever you want to call it—madness or dedication—Saanand persisted, and now he is finally receiving all the due recognition in the industry.
