Zara Hatke Zara Bachke Review: Vicky and Sara’s Romcom is a Mediocre Entertainer

The story, co-written by Utekar, Maitrey Bajpai, and Ramiz Ilham Khan, opens on a lighter note and develops momentum with innocuous quips, organic, playful comedy, and some hilarious jabs. Still, Vicky and Sara’s romcom is a mediocre entertainer; overall, Laxman Utekar’s directorial debut is an average work. Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is an ordinary middle-class story that appears all too relatable and appears to have been penned by people who have experienced or witnessed this life firsthand. Let’s take a closer look for a detailed review:

Storyline

Zara Hatke’s story centers on the smart city of MP, Indore. The plot depicts two college lovers deeply in love, Kapil (Vicky Kaushal) and Saumya (Sara Ali Khan). Following marriage, they live with Kapil’s family and are frequently disturbed by relatives while intending to romance or even in privacy. To move away from their family, Kapil and Saumya apply for a flat under the Indian government’s flagship initiative, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Still, to be eligible, they must first divorce. What happens next is a laughter riot.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke Review

The film’s first half is entertaining, but the fun factor falls after the interval due to unrealistic, over-the-top tracks that do not progress the narrative and could have been appropriately established. However, DOP Raghav Ramadoss employs lively tones and dazzling frames to develop this story. Utekar’s art design is constantly enticing.

The film discusses how the Indian middle class struggles continuously to build a house. A middle-class family must sacrifice their entire lives to acquire a house. Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is a mediocre family entertainer but missed the opportunity to be an exceptional film.

The performances of Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are the film’s strongest elements. Vicky and Sara had a fantastic rapport! Sachin-Jigar’s music is upbeat, pleasant, romantic, and appealing. Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’s Weak Point

The confrontations between Vicky and Sara are asymmetrical. Vicky’s reactions to the situation appear more natural, whereas Sara’s appear more scripted.

The movie undoubtedly has some highs and lows. The lows are indeed full of shortcomings and patches, while the high never reaches the point where you think, “That’s amazing.”
