Harry and Meghan Invest in Adaptation of Romantic Novel for Netflix Movie
For their inaugural production for Netflix, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have acquired the rights to a popular romantic novel. Moving away from their prior documentary-style works, they have decided to branch out into producing fiction films.
Meet Me At The Lake, Carley Fortune’s enthralling novel, is said to cost up to £3 million (₹31.5 crore). This captivating love story contains similarities to the real-life romance of Harry and Meghan. The Sun published these details.
Meet Me at the Lake?
Meet Me at the Lake is a tale of love between two people in their thirties, who experience a shared past of adversity. Both of them have encountered childhood afflictions, such as the death of a parent in a car accident and postnatal depression.
The book’s publisher, Penguin Random House, previously published Harry’s memoir Spare. It is Fortune’s second novel.
If successful, the project will provide a positive effect on the partnership between the couple and Netflix, which had reportedly been facing difficulties in spite of the acclaimed documentary series shared their struggles as members of the monarchy. In addition, Harry’s docu-series Heart of Invictus is due for release this month.
