Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are set to thrill audiences in director Siddharth Anand’s upcoming aerial action film ‘Fighter’. Slated for release on January 25th, 2024, the film marks Hrithik and Deepika’s first on-screen pairing. As the release date approaches, the makers have started unveiling first looks and teasers to build anticipation.
Rakesh Roshan All Praise For Son Hrithik’s Rugged Avatar
In the latest update, Hrithik Roshan unveiled his character’s first look as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania aka “Patty” on December 4th. Sporting a rugged pilot’s avatar with a mustache and intense expression, Hrithik looks every bit the daring flying ace. The actor’s look won praise from father and veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, who commented “Looks a fighter pilot, looking forward.”
Co-stars Anil Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar also appreciated Hrithik’s transformation. Anil Kapoor remarked no one could play the character better, while Farhan called the look “sharp.” Hrithik’s rumored girlfriend, actress Saba Azad, cheered “Go Patty!” Fans also went gaga, hailing the 49-year old star’s ageless appearance and jawline. Clearly, Hrithik has everyone’s pulse racing before take-off.

Deepika Padukone Radiates Valor As Squadron Leader
Not to be outdone, Deepika Padukone’s first look as daredevil pilot Squadron Leader Minal Rathore was also revealed recently. Her call sign “Minni”, Deepika exudes grit and fearlessness in Indian Air Force fatigues. The poster’s tagline reads “the courage to look fear in the eye.” Director Siddharth Anand has described her character as someone who “embodies fortitude, resilience and the never say never spirit.”
Evidently, Deepika’s role will see her pull off exhilarating aerial stunts. After essaying action-packed roles in films like XXX: Return of Xander Cage (2017) and Pathaan (2023), playing Minni seems a natural fit for the athletic actress.

Teaser To Unveil In Early December
As per reports, the Fighter teaser will launch in the first week of December, marking the start of an extensive 50-day promotional campaign. The music album is also being touted as the highlight. While plot details remain under wraps, it’s guaranteed that the teaser will showcase some drool-worthy aerial action sequences.

Bringing Together Hrithik-Deepika’s Box Office Might

With Anil Kapoor also starring alongside fresh faces like Akshay Oberoi and Karan Singh Grover, Fighter boasts of an enviable ensemble cast. Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, the film seems poised to score a box office ‘KO’ upon release. Director Siddharth Anand has called it “a tribute to the valour, sacrifice and patriotism of our armed forces.”
