Pankaj Tripathi’s Kadak Singh to Release Directly on OTT
Pankaj Tripathi’s much-awaited film Kadak Singh is set to release directly on OTT instead of getting a theatrical release. The investigative drama will premiere exclusively on Zee5, though the exact release date is yet to be announced.
The first look poster of Kadak Singh was recently unveiled by Pankaj Tripathi. It features the talented actor in an asymmetrical shot with a strip of puzzle pieces, money, a body and question marks in the middle, hinting at the mystery and intrigue in the film.
An Intriguing Investigative Drama
Kadak Singh tells the story of A.K. Srivastava, an officer of the Department of Financial Crimes, played by Pankaj Tripathi. Srivastava is diagnosed with retrograde amnesia and struggles to recognize even his own daughter. With his memories shattered, he works to expose a massive financial scam that has engulfed the entire country.
Helmed by acclaimed director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Kadak Singh boasts of a powerful ensemble cast including Sanjana Sanghi, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Jaya Ahsan, Dilip Shankar, Paresh Pahuja and Varun Buddhadev.

A Character-Driven Mystery
While the financial crime investigation forms the crux of the story, Kadak Singh is essentially a character-driven drama about Srivastava. With his memory loss, he pieces together his own life like a puzzle while also unraveling the financial scam.
Director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury has called it a “special film that talks about the responsibility of one government official towards the common people.” He has praised Pankaj Tripathi and Sanjana Sanghi for portraying the complex father-daughter relationship at the heart of the story.
An Impressive Ensemble Cast
In addition to Tripathi and Sanghi, the film boasts of a powerful ensemble cast. Parvathy Thiruvothu, renowned for films like Take Off and Uyare, plays a pivotal role along with Jaya Ahsan who has impressed in Bangladeshi and Bengali films.
Other important cast members include Dilip Shankar, Paresh Pahuja and Varun Buddhadev. Each actor has brought their A-game to deliver a compelling thriller that pushes boundaries, as per the director.
