Plea against Prabhas Starrer ‘Adipurush’ in Delhi High Court for Mocking Hindu Sentiments
After a long delay and controversy, Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Saif Ali Khan’s Adipurush, a film themed around the epic Ramayana, screened in theaters last Friday. The film was previously criticized for its weak VFX and unseasoned visual in the teaser, and now plea against Prabhas starrer ‘Adipurush ‘ in Delhi high court for mocking Hindu sentiments, the film is already getting trolled for Tapori dialogues and bad storytelling from critics and audiences. Plea Against Adipurush Filed by Hindu Sena President ‘Vishnu Gupta’
The ‘Hindu Sena,’ through its national president Vishnu Gupta, argued that filmmakers, producers, and actors should not be allowed to commercially exploit religious leaders, characters, faces, traits, and appearances, including violation of Article 25 of the constitution.
The petition, filed by advocate Pratibha Sinha, stated that the portrayal of Ravana, Lord Ram, Mata Sita, and Hanuman in the feature film ‘Adipurush’ is in contradiction to the image and characterizations of these religious heros/characters/personalities as portrayed in Maharishi Valmiki’s Ramayan and Tulsidas’ Ramcharitmanas.

Last Year Counsel Raj Gaurav Filed Plea Against ‘Adipurush’
On October 7, counsel Raj Gaurav filed a petition in a Delhi court demanding a permanent and mandatory injunction against the filmmakers – producer Bhushan Kumar and director and co-producer Om Raut – stating that they distorted the fundamentals of the epic Ramayana.
