Drishyam: The Conclusion – Ajay Devgn Announces Final Chapter, Release Date Confirmed
The Salgaonkar family’s story is coming to an end. Ajay Devgn confirmed today that the third and final installment of the Drishyam franchise is officially titled Drishyam: The Conclusion, unveiling the first poster and locking in a theatrical release date.
When is it releasing?
Drishyam: The Conclusion arrives in theatres on October 2, 2026.
The announcement
Devgn shared the news himself on social media, posting the film’s first poster — a striking, half-shadowed image of his face showing only one eye. The poster carries the line “Mera sach, mera sahi, sirf meri family hai” (“My truth, my right, is only my family”), a tagline that captures Vijay Salgaonkar’s defining mindset across the franchise.
Alongside the poster, Devgn wrote that everyone sees things differently, but for him, family is everything — confirming the film’s cinema release date of October 2.

The story
Drishyam follows Vijay Salgaonkar, a mild-mannered, self-taught family man from Goa who has spent two films protecting his wife and daughters from the fallout of a murder in their home, using sharp intelligence and careful planning to stay one step ahead of the law. Drishyam: The Conclusion is billed as the final chapter, expected to resolve the story once and for all — Vijay finally coming back to close out his own narrative years after the case first upended his family’s life.
The cast
Ajay Devgn returns once more as Vijay Salgaonkar, joined by:
- Tabu, reprising her role as IG Meera Deshmukh
- Shriya Saran as Nandini
- Rajat Kapoor, also returning
- Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat, both joining the franchise for the first time in new roles
- Ishita Dutta
Behind the camera
Abhishek Pathak returns to direct, having also helmed Drishyam 2. He co-wrote the film alongside Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. The film is produced by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios, with Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak producing.
Where things stand
Filming on Drishyam: The Conclusion has already wrapped, with the movie currently in post-production ahead of its October release. Shooting reportedly began in Goa back in December, keeping the story rooted in its original setting.
Why this one matters
The Hindi Drishyam franchise has been a consistent box office powerhouse — the first film grossed around ₹110 crore worldwide in 2015, while Drishyam 2 nearly tripled that number, closing its run at close to ₹342 crore globally in 2022. With Devgn confirming this as the franchise’s final chapter, expectations are high for Drishyam: The Conclusion to deliver a satisfying send-off to one of Bollywood’s most beloved thriller sagas.
Notably, this Hindi conclusion arrives even as the original Malayalam franchise — starring Mohanlal, who originated the role — continues to move forward with its own next chapter, meaning the story of the “original” Drishyam family isn’t quite done either.
