Shah Rukh Khan Unveils New Posters for Dunki Showcasing the Film’s Ensemble Cast
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently unveiled two new posters for his highly-anticipated film ‘Dunki’. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘Dunki’ features an ensemble cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani and others.
The Posters Showcase the Film’s Key Characters
The first poster features Shah Rukh Khan along with Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and other actors walking on the streets of India. The second poster shows the cast walking in a deserted landscape, seeming lost and confused. In both posters, Shah Rukh Khan is seen leading the group.
Sharing the posters on social media, SRK wrote: “We are looking just the way Rajkumar Hirani had imagined us. There is a lot more left to be shared.” Taapsee added: “Your life gets easier with friends like them. Here’s my family of friends.”

Dunki’s Story and Shah Rukh’s Role
‘Dunki’ tells the story of an immigrant’s journey from India to the UK. Shah Rukh Khan plays the lead role of Hardy, who embarks on an eventful journey to London along with his friends. According to SRK, his character is simple and relatable, trying to fulfill his dreams and desires. The film will showcase Shah Rukh’s signature romance after a long gap.

Reuniting with Rajkumar Hirani
This will be Shah Rukh’s first collaboration with acclaimed director Rajkumar Hirani of ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘PK’ fame. Earlier, SRK had revealed that Hirani had been discussing ‘Dunki’ with him for years before finally locking the script. He described Hirani as a “heartwarming storyteller” and said the film will be more entertaining than his other upcoming projects ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’.
Taapsee and Vicky Join Shah Rukh
Besides SRK, ‘Dunki’ brings together two other top stars – Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. While Taapsee plays SRK’s love interest, Vicky sports a rugged look in the posters. The posters indicate Vicky will play a key supporting role alongside other actors like Boman Irani. Fans are excited to see the trio share screen space for the first time.
Dunki Set for Christmas Release
‘Dunki’ is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on December 22, 2022. The Christmas weekend release sets it up for a big box office clash with Prabhas-starrer ‘Salaar’. Backed by Red Chillies Entertainment, Rajkumar Hirani Films and Jio Studios, ‘Dunki’ is one of Bollywood’s most awaited films following SRK’s comeback after 4 years.
The new posters have piqued curiosity about ‘Dunki’ and Shah Rukh’s character. With Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial finesse and a stellar cast, the film is sure to be a landmark in SRK’s career post his sabbatical.
