Actor Tiger Shroff is safe after a firing incident in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening, October 18, 2026. Mumbai Police have confirmed he was not injured, and an investigation is underway.

What Happened

According to police and agency reports, the incident took place in the jurisdiction of Juhu Police Station, near Pushpa Park, as the actor was leaving a ground where a crowd had gathered. Reports say several rounds were fired toward his vehicle. Police said Shroff was not hit.

Early reports on social media suggested the actor or others had been hurt, but Mumbai Police clarified quickly. In a statement carried by ANI, they said a firing incident had been reported under Juhu Police Station, that Shroff was safe, and that he had not sustained any gunshot injuries.

Who Was Affected

Shroff’s driver and an autorickshaw driver were reportedly injured, according to preliminary reports. Their condition has not been detailed in the coverage so far. The actor’s father, veteran actor Jackie Shroff, confirmed that his son was unharmed and said Tiger was helping officials at the police station.

What Police Have Said

Police have launched an investigation and a search for those responsible. Specialised teams are reportedly examining CCTV footage from the area for leads, and the process of registering an FIR was said to be underway.

Shortly after the incident, a social media post appeared in which a group attributed to a jailed gangster claimed responsibility. Police sources said it was premature to confirm the motive described in the post, and that the claim remains part of the probe. Because the post is unverified, it’s best treated with caution until officials say otherwise.

What We Don’t Know Yet

Several important details remain unclear. Police have not identified the attackers or confirmed a motive. Reports differ on exactly how the shots were fired, and the injured drivers’ condition has not been confirmed in detail. Some outlets have also reported that others in the film industry may have been targeted, but this has not been verified, and it is best left out until police confirm.

Why This Is Drawing So Much Attention

Firing incidents involving public figures in Mumbai are rare, and this one occurred in a busy residential and commercial area on a weekend evening, with a crowd present. That alone makes it a serious public-safety matter beyond the celebrity involved. Shroff, 36, is the son of Jackie Shroff and one of the industry’s most recognizable action stars, which is why the news spread quickly.

What Happens Next

The next developments to watch are the registration of the FIR, any arrests, and an official statement from the Mumbai Police on the circumstances and the motive. Shroff’s team has not issued a detailed statement beyond his family’s confirmation that he is safe. This is a developing story, and details may change as the investigation continues.
